In a state with so many epicenters of wealth, talent and power, even some of New York’s hospitals are household names: from the huge, prestigious general hospitals like Mount Sinai and New York-Presbyterian to highly specialized institutions like the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the Hospital for Special Surgery.
