HPV linked to increased risk of heart disease

A new study being presented at the American College of Cardiology’s Annual Scientific Session reveals a potential link between human papillomavirus (HPV) and an increased risk of heart disease, including coronary artery disease. According to the research, patients who test positive for HPV have a notably higher likelihood of developing cardiovascular issues, such as plaque buildup in the arteries, which reduces blood flow to the heart.
