A Feeding Hills, Mass., man was arrested in the birthing center at Baystate Medical Center on Thursday, after destroying property in front of his newborn, according to police. Jayden Pacheco, 18, prompted a lockdown at the hospital on Chestnut Street following the ruckus he caused just days after his baby was born, court records show. Police were alerted shortly before 5:30 p.m. Pacheco was charged with destruction of property over $1,200, assault with a dangerous weapon, illegal possession of a Class C substance (the category includes opioids and benzodiazepines), endangerment of a child, carrying a dangerous weapon and resisting arrest.
