NYC nurses strike: Union resumes negotiations with all 3 hospitals

The New York State Nurses Association will resume their negotiations with all three hospitals on Wednesday. The nurses' union says it will hold a press conference on their progress at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx with City Council Labor Chair Shirley Aldebol at 3 p.m. The 17-day strike had some signs of progress when the union reached a deal on maintaining health benefits at two hospitals - this was a key sticking point. Nurses union says Mount Sinai and NewYork-Presbyterian have agreed to keep the nurses' current health plan. Still, the hospitals and nurses must reach final tentative contract agreements.
