A nurse's union and some staff of Fatima Hospital and Roger Williams Medical Center are holding a press conference on Tuesday to urge the state to keep both hospitals open. The United Nurses and Allied Professionals says it represents almost 1,200 employees at facilities that include both hospitals. Recently, Prospect Medical Holdings, the hospital's owner, said it was seeking to close the hospitals by the end of the year or transfer them to the state.
