A Superior Court judge has dismissed Boston Medical Center’s lawsuit against the state over Medicaid reimbursement rates.
The same judge also rejected a second lawsuit by six other hospitals that claimed the state violated a law requiring health care providers be adequately reimbursed for caring for Medicaid and Medicare patients.
Last year, the medical center said state policies put the inner-city medical center on the brink of financial ruin by requiring that the medical center treat everyone who needs care, then failing to adequately reimburse the hospital for the cost of that care.
