Cleveland Clinic to invest $500 million in takeover of Martin Health System

The Cleveland Clinic will take over Martin Health System, both hospital systems said Tuesday. The announcement comes six months after Martin Health and Cleveland Clinic began negotiations. The deal announced Tuesday stipulates that Cleveland Clinic — a world-renowned health provider based in Cleveland — will invest $500 million in Martin Health, which includes three hospitals with 521 beds.
