Effingham (GA) Health System reorganizes as non-profit

Effingham Health System has announced that it plans to reorganize as a nonprofit, adding more services and expanding beyond the borders of Effingham County. The system will develop a self-insurance plan, Effingham Cares, and by the end of the year will add oncology services and a chemotherapy suite where up to seven patients can get treatment at once.
