Fertility Centers of Illinois' treatments threatened by HMO Illinois contract dispute

A contract dispute involving the largest chain of fertility centers in Illinois and the state's largest health maintenance organization is threatening to disrupt medical care for hundreds of Chicago-area patients. The disagreement went public when Fertility Centers of Illinois told patients with HMO Illinois medical coverage that it would stop providing them with assisted reproduction services at the end of February. The dispute arose when WIN Fertility sold its management services to another health insurer operating in Illinois.
