Community Health Systems, the Franklin, TN, parent company of Lutheran Health Network, reported net losses of more than $1.4 billion during the first half of this year. Now CHS is reviewing its 158-hospital portfolio and the Fort Wayne, IN-based Lutheran system could go on the block.
