Hospitals got COVID-19 bailouts. Then executives got $73M in bonuses

Top New York hospital executives received an average bonus of about $273,000 in 2020 while leading health systems that secured billions of dollars in federal pandemic bailouts. These are among the findings of a USA Today Network investigation into the biggest payouts to hospital executives and doctors in New York during the pandemic’s darkest days.
