MVHS: Despite COVID-19, new Utica hospital funding secure

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on the new Mohawk Valley Health System hospital under construction in downtown Utica. The coronavirus has put construction behind schedule, said President/CEO Darlene Stromstad, as some of their suppliers have had furloughs or layoffs, slowing down deliveries. And the state has been slower than expected in making decisions apparently because of the pandemic, she said.
