Atlanta health systems Piedmont Healthcare and WellStar Health System announced the new management team of Piedmont WellStar HealthPlans, a separate organization the two systems partnered to create.The newly formed insurance provider will begin selling commercial group coverage Oct. 1 and serve 35,000 employees and dependents of both health systems in the fall. Piedmont WellStar HealthPlans is led by CEO Dr. Ronnie Brownsworth. Other top execs include Dan Styf, senior vice president of operations; D. Scott Foster, vice president of finance; Cory D. Scott, vice president of sales and marketing; Christine MacEwen, executive director of corporate business development; and co-medical directors Dr. James C. Sams, and Dr. Kristyn Greifer.
