Study aims for wise choices from a wealth of health plans

Americans may believe that the more choices consumers have, the better, but the early findings of a government-funded study of healthcare choices finds this may not necessarily be true. The study, led by a Vanderbilt University economist, aims to devise new ways to present complex choices to consumers to give them a better chance of making a wise decision. The leaders of the study say that better choices, rather than more, would help to reduce medical costs and save taxpayers money.
