UnitedHealthcare has temporarily suspended its review of patient medical files in Connecticut after a physicians group protested that the insurer was requesting sensitive information by fax. The Connecticut State Medical Society said doctors were getting requests from UnitedHealthcare subsidiary Ingenix by fax, and protested the move.
