Value of hospital district's portfolio drops $12.1 million in 2018

The Marion County Hospital District’s investment portfolio lost more than $12.1 million in value in 2018, ending a year of roller-coaster rises and falls in a volatile stock market. The drop in value was about 4.9 percent. The portfolio ended the year with a value of more than $235 million compared to more than $247 million at the beginning of 2018.
