Here’s what working moms say needs to change about child care

Considering two-thirds of parents have struggled to find child care during the pandemic, it’s no wonder there’s a growing chorus calling for broad changes to an unstable system. 

As it’s become clearer a lack of affordable child care affects workforce participation, the federal government has been moved to pursue solutions for families and child care providers, although whether lawmakers will deliver meaningful change remains to be seen.
