Beaumont Health: Employee may have leaked sensitive information of more than 1,000 patients

A Beaumont Health employee is suspected of disclosing sensitive patient information of nearly 1,200 people, the health system said in a statement Saturday. The employee, who was fired, transferred information including names, addresses, dates of birth, contact information, social security numbers, reasons for treatment and insurance information to an individual working on behalf of a personal injury attorney between February 2017 and October 2019.
