Hospitals, doctors fight bill that would end flu vaccine requirements

A fight over flu vaccination requirements is pitting the state’s medical and business communities against conservative lawmakers and those who say they are “committed to protecting control over our own bodies.” Arguing she wants to “empower Ohioans” to refuse a flu vaccine without placing their jobs in jeopardy, Rep. Christina Hagan, R-Alliance, has told her colleagues that mandating the annual shot “is an egregious violation of personal freedom.”
