Position Summary:

The Executive Director, ACO provides leadership and direction in the development and execution of Commercial, Government and Direct to employer ACO models and implementation of innovative approaches with a specific focus on accountable programs care within the MemorialCare Medical Foundation (MCMF), the MemorialCare Health System and partners. Oversee the internal capabilities related to value-based contracts with payers, direct contracts with self-funded employers. Develops the ACO Department to ensure that the appropriate infrastructure is in place for successful implementation and performance of Alternative Payment Model programs.

This position will engage and collaborate with organizations on methods and best practices of identifying and improving patient health outcomes, patient satisfaction and operational efficiencies within an accountable care model, and act as the point of accountability for delivering large scale, complex, and cross-organizational projects and/or program strategy deliverables on time and on budget. The Executive Director plans, directs, evaluates and oversees all aspects of the, operational and financial business plan for ACO and population health initiatives in collaboration with the VP of Population Health, Executive Management Team and system colleagues and is responsible for developing and supporting a sound infrastructure and policies and procedures consistent with these objectives. This position will develop an effective and efficient team to manage the ACO operations, including; network development and Information Systems, analytics, administrative services and collaboration with care coordination within MCMF. This position will be responsible for the development and oversight of ACO program and staff providing ACO services. Areas of responsibility include ACO reporting and quality development, process management, information management and quality improvement that supports triple aim results. Executive Director will provide leadership and direction to ensure ACO department is in compliance with all applicable ACO standards and contracted requirements and will design and implement ACO care management processes.

Education/Licensure:

  • Master's Degree in Business, Public Health or related field.

Experience:

  • Ten (10) years or greater healthcare experience required, with 5 years or greater managerial/supervisory experience; commercial and government ACO development, clinical case management or population health experience desirable.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role and five (5) years' experience in new program development within a large, complex, multi-site private or public sector organization preferred.
