Management watch details released for Miami-based Jackson Health System

The top executives of Miami-Dade County and Jackson Health System have released an agreement revealing details of the county's "management watch" of the troubled hospital system. Elements requested by Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Alvarez include a "measurable action plan" within 30 days of how the governing board will reduce the 2010 fiscal year budget gap by at least $100 million and revealing "specific implemented actions to assure the Trust is solvent through the remainder of the fiscal year." A plan is also required within 60 days reduce the next fiscal year budget gap to zero.
