St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon, IN, is buying the assets of another southern Indiana hospital that sought bankruptcy protection in 2009. Court documents say St. Vincent will pay up to $3.5 million for the assets of Washington County Memorial Hospital in nearby Salem, IN. St. Vincent is a member of St. Louis-based Catholic healthcare system Ascension Health.
