NM hospital on notice for lack of OB/GYN services

Alta Vista Regional Hospital in Las Vegas, NM, has not provided obstetrical and gynecological services for about six months, and state Attorney General Hector Balderas wants the hospital and the Las Vegas Health Trust to explain what has been done to change that. The trust manages money from the sale of the nonprofit Northeastern Regional Hospital to a for-profit company in 2000. Alta Vista is now run by for-profit chain Quorum Health.
