Peoples Health CEO Carol Solomon dies of sudden illness

Carol Solomon, the chief executive officer for Peoples Health, a Metairie-based Medicare Advantage plan with members statewide, died Sunday of a sudden illness. She was 72. Solomon had headed Peoples Health since 1998, shepherding the company from 1,500 members and $25 million in revenue to more than 55,000 members and more than $710 million in revenue.
