Small Iowa hospital hit with four wrongful death suits in two years

A small western Iowa hospital that tried last year to keep the public from learning the amount of a wrongful-death lawsuit settlement is now facing three more such suits. Two of the lawsuits against the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison were filed in the past two weeks. They allege mistakes by the public hospital’s staff caused patient deaths. A similar lawsuit, filed last year, also is pending.
