Mercy CEO resigns three years after taking reins at Sioux City hospital

Regional chief financial officer Rod Schlader has been named interim CEO. FitzPatrick will remain with the hospital through the fall to help with the transition, according to the news release. Mercy Sioux City, the only Level II trauma center between Sioux Falls and Omaha, is part of Trinity Health of Livonia, Michigan, and Mercy Health Network, a system of hospitals in Iowa.
