Aurora to pay $12 million to settle allegations of improper compensation

Aurora Health Care, Inc. has agreed to pay $12 million to the United States and State of Wisconsin to settle allegations it submitted claims to Medicare and Medicaid in violation of federal law. The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin says Aurora allegedly violated the False Claims Act in violation of the Stark Law.
