Administrator: Braxton Memorial, WVU partnership will ensure rural hospital can continue

When a Gassaway hospital decided to become part of the state’s largest health system, its leadership recognized the small rural hospital couldn’t continue operating on its own, an administrator said last week. Braxton County Memorial Hospital officially became part of the West Virginia University Health System Jan. 1. The health system held a community event last week to mark the occasion.
