Mercy Health hospital workers prepare to strike: 'We deserve to be fairly paid'

Unionized nurses, technicians, and support staff at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center on Monday reaffirmed their intention to strike at the hospital at 4:30 p.m. if their union and the hospital cannot settle a pair of key bargaining issues. Shortly after 4 pm, St. Vincent employees, other UAW members, and elected officials left Local 12 to walk the roughly one mile to St. Vincent.
