A proposed merger between Spectrum Health and Beaumont Health is not expected to be completed this fall as originally expected. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), which must review the merger, "is experiencing a surge in filings across all industries and will take longer than originally anticipated" to complete its review, according to a Sept. 24 joint statement from the two health systems.
