Calvin Glidewell has been named CEO of Broward General Medical Center and Chris Evert Children's Hospital. Glidewell has served as CEO of Imperial Point Medical Center since joining Broward Health in 2007. While there he expanded services, added robotic surgery and interventional radiology, and opened a new $18 million emergency department and a new outpatient surgery center. Mark Sprada, CNO/COO for Imperial Point Medical Center, will be interim CEO as a search for Glidewell's replacement is conducted. Prior to joining Broward Health, Glidewell spent 16 years with the not-for-profit University Community Health System in Tampa.
