Allegheny Valley Hospital workers give OK for strike authorization

Allegheny Valley Hospital nurses, nurses aides and service workers voted Thursday to authorize a strike if needed, according to a text message from SEIU and Linda Thrower, chapter president of the union at the hospital. The union’s bargaining committee was authorized to “give hospital management a strike notice if needed,” according to the statement.
