Cabell Huntington Hospital nurses OK bargaining committee to issue strike notice

Nurses with Cabell Huntington Hospital have voted in favor of empowering their bargaining committee to issue a 10-day strike notice if needed. The nurses voted Friday and Saturday at a Huntington hotel. The union has been negotiating with hospital leaders for nine months on a contract that would improve health care benefits and staffing issues, according to a news release from SEIU District 1199.
