A group of Kentucky nurses are working together to retain and recruit more nurses to the state as many Kentucky hospitals are facing an overwhelming number of patients.
The Team Kentucky Nursing Advisory Committee, made up of nurses, some practicing, some directors of university programs, said nurses are leaving in droves to take travel nursing jobs where they make a lot more money, and they've been gathering virtually to think of ways the state can better recruit and retain nurses.
In a social media landscape shaped by hashtags, algorithms, and viral posts, nurse leaders must decide: Will they let the narrative spiral, or can they adapt and join the conversation?
