Nurses strike at Indiana Regional Medical Center

Registered nurses began a one-day strike with the start of the 7 a.m. shift today at Indiana Regional Medical Center as hospital officials said replacement workers have been called to allow IRMC to maintain normal operations. Nurses set up picket lines at the Hospital Road and South Sixth Street entrances to the hospital to increase public awareness of the union’s position in ongoing contract talks.
