ALBANY — The Capital Region's largest insurance provider and the St. Peter's network of hospitals on Saturday said they reached a contract "agreement in principal" as a key date for coming to terms approached. The agreement allows CDPHP patients to continue receiving care at St. Peter's 170 locations.
Inspectors found that an anesthesiologist at a Brooklyn hospital made numerous errors in administering epidurals. Some were life-threatening. One was fatal.
Many doctors worry that the drugs' current popularity, fueled in part by social media, has resulted in people taking them without sufficient medical supervision.
