With acquisition complete, 5 PA hospitals out of IBC network

Tower Health entered the southeastern Pennsylvania market in a big way over the weekend. It completed its previously announced acquisition of five Philadelphia-area hospitals and rejected a new contract proposal from the region’s largest health insurer. The acquisition of the five hospitals and their associated assets by Tower Health, previously operated as the Reading Health System, became official Oct. 1.
