After a thorough review of potential opportunities with other health care companies, South Shore Health will remain an independent health care system for the time being. South Shore Health President & CEO Dr. Allen Smith announced this week that the South Shore Health board of directors voted unanimously to keep the health care system that owns South Shore Hospital independent.
