Asylum’s renaming insults advocates

To some, the renaming of Weston (WV) Hospital to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum acknowledges history by readopting one of the many names previously held by the long-vacant, 19th century mental institution. But others say the new owners of the hospital have gone too far, and are disparaging the suffering of former patients.
