Baptist Hospital Miami launches $90M expansion

New operating rooms for neuroscience, cardiac and robotic surgery, along with new medical technology and programs for treating a range of cardiovascular conditions will be added to Baptist Hospital of Miami by 2016 as part of a $90 million expansion launched last week, hospital officials announced Tuesday. The three-story construction project to expand Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute and Baptist Hospital's Surgery Center will add six operating rooms and an intraoperative MRI that will allow neurosurgeons to treat brain tumors, as well as additional space for teaching and new programs and centers, including a center for aneurysm therapy, a center for advanced endovascular therapies, a center for structural hart therapy and an advanced arrhythmia therapy center
