C-Sections Account for 35% of All Deliveries in China

The rate of cesarean deliveries in China increased substantially from 2008 to 2014, primarily in smaller cities and rural areas, researchers found. From 2008 to 2014, cesarean deliveries made up about a third of all live births in China, rising from 28.8% to 34.9%, reported Hong-Tiang Li, MD, of Peking University Health Science Center in Beijing, and colleagues.
