Wyoming Medical Center has promoted Don Claunch, its vice president of information services, to fill the vacant CFO post. He replaces former finance exec Nancy Brandt, who left in March for personal reasons. Claunch took over as interim CFO after Brandt's departure. The former investment banker has worked at the hospital for 21 years and previously served as its finance director. The nonprofit hospital said it plans to recruit a new CIO to fill Claunch's vacated position. Wyoming Medical Center has also promoted Julie Cann-Taylor to COO. Cann-Taylor will retain her role as senior vice president of patient care services, where she's helped run the hospital's patient safety program. The COO's position was held by hospital President Vickie Diamond until 2008, when she became WMC's top executive. The COO post has been vacant since then.
