Centene subsidiary inks Medicaid contract extension in Kentucky

Clayton-based managed care provider Centene, through a subsidiary, has received a four-year contract extension in Kentucky to serve the state’s Medicaid program. The contract, through the subsidiary WellCare of Kentucky, is expected to begin Jan. 1, 2021 and run through Dec. 31, 2024, according to a release. The contract also has options for six, two-year renewal extensions. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
