CHI, Dignity Health merger comes with new name: CommonSpirit Health

Two health systems are coming together under a new name, according to both companies. Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health – who announced a Definitive Agreement to combine their health ministries in December 2017, have chosen “CommonSpirit Health” as the name of their new organization. They expect to complete the transaction by the end of 2018.
