Former Providence President and CEO Donald Brennan died Feb. 12 in his Bothell home, his family said Friday. He was 83. Brennan, whose career spanned 40 years in health care, served as CEO of California-based Group Health Cooperative from 1976 to 1980. He left Group Health to become the first lay CEO of what was then known as Sisters of Providence — now Providence — where he served until 1993, according to an obituary sent to the Business Journal by his family.
