Ex-North Memorial CEO pleads guilty in MN sex sting

The former president/CEO of North Memorial Health Care in Minneapolis pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of engaging in prostitution, a misdemeanor. David Cress, 60, was arrested Sept. 1 by Richfield police during a vice operation that netted about a dozen men. He pleaded not guilty in October and was scheduled for trial later this month. He appeared Wednesday before Hennepin County District Judge Robert Blaeser. Defense attorney Steven Grimshaw said Cress pleaded guilty under an arrangement in which the charge against him will be vacated after a year. He was assessed $300 in court costs, Grimshaw said.
