Former Calhoun-Liberty Hospital CEO pleads guilty to embezzling over $1.1 million

A former CEO of Calhoun-Liberty Hospital is set to face decades in federal prison siphoning $1.1 million from the financially struggling hospital through a sham medical supply corporation, according to court records. Phillip E. Hill, 42, is scheduled to be sentenced in January on a total of 28 federal fraud charges.
