Glendora Community Hospital's switch to behavioral facility will cost 184 jobs

Glendora Community Hospital is converting from an acute care hospital to a behavioral health facility — a move that will result in 184 layoffs. In a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification sent to the state Employment Development Department last month, hospital CEO Parrish Scarboro said the affected employees will be released Sept. 16, or during a 14-day period starting on that date.
