Gov. Evers to 'fight like hell' to expand Medicaid, GOP leader 'not going to give in'

Gov. Tony Evers said he’s going to “fight like hell” to expand Medicaid in the state, a day after Republicans said they’re going to throw out his proposal in the budget process. The political showdown between Democrats and Republicans on whether to accept the expansion comes as the powerful joint-finance committee plans to throw out Medicaid and several of Evers’ budget proposals next Thursday.
