Mitch Edgeworth will succeed Heather Rohan in January.
HCA Healthcare announced the appointment of Mitch Edgeworth on Monday as the new Tristar Division's president. Edgeworth will succeed current president Heather Rohan effective January 4, 2021.
HCA Healthcare's TriStar Division has 20 hospitals, almost 90 physician offices, and over 20 urgent care centers across Tennessee, Kentucky, and Georgia. Edgeworth will be responsible for 17 of those hospitals and numerous care sites in those regions.
Edgeworth currently serves as the chief administration officer of the TriStar Division. Previously, he served as CEO of Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
"Mitch has a strong track record of leadership in a variety of academic, community and multi-hospital settings," Jon Foster, president of HCA Healthcare's American Group, said in a statement. "He is a values-driven executive with extensive knowledge of not only Middle Tennessee but the other communities served by the TriStar Division."
Rohan recently announced her retirement, ending 34 years with HCA Healthcare. She has led in multiple executive roles and has served as president of the TriStar Division since 2016.
"We have been fortunate to have Heather’s leadership within our company for more than three decades, and it has been a privilege to work alongside a leader who embodies our mission each day," Foster said in a statement. "Heather has been an incredible asset for our hospitals and, most recently, for the TriStar Division and the Nashville community. We wish her well in her retirement."
